The average
price for houses in and around Nottinghamshire have risen in the last year, new
figures reveal.
According to
the Office for National Statistics, the average price for houses in the East
Midlands have risen by 3.7 per cent over the year to January 2014.
The figures
also revealed that the average UK house price was up 6.8 per cent, driven by a
13.2 per cent increase in London.
Excluding
London and the South East, UK house prices increased by 3.8 per cent over the
year to January 2014, putting the East Midlands statistics just below average.
